"Introduction to Wargaming" Workshop
14 February 2026 – 14 February 2027
Museu d'Història de Catalunya, la Barceloneta, Ciutat Vella
A workshop to get into the world of wargames from scratch. The Museu d'Història de Catalunya is organising introductory sessions to the world of historical battle simulation games. An activity designed to discover, in a relaxed and practical way, how wargames work and how they can turn historical conflicts into real strategic challenges. The workshops will be led by contributors to and participants in Cronomàster, the MHC's board game and historical simulation day. Each session will feature a different guest publisher or game designer to learn the basics of the game and how it works, such as "Carga de los tres reyes" (introductory medieval theme) or "Combat commander" (Second World War tactics), among others. Several explanation sessions and games will take place throughout the workshop. In addition, each session will include a more complex wargame.
