'It Is Happening Here and Now: Evolution in Real Time on the Street' Science Talk

Do you think evolution is only a thing of the past? Nothing could be further from the truth. From pigeons and rats adapting to cities to bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics, many changes are happening here and now. This talk explores how species respond to new challenges and reminds us that evolution is not just something from textbooks: it is a living process taking place in our streets, hospitals and even inside our bodies. Led by Cristina Hurtado, biologist and science communicator, member of Neurones Fregides and founder of the Divubio project. She also works in the communication and outreach department at the IrsiCaixa research centre.
