"Jazz Standards" Concert with Benjamin León Trio

Benjamín León (Écija, 1956) is considered one of the great masters of the Hammond organ and an essential figure in Spanish and European jazz. His career, begun under the influence of figures such as Lou Bennett and Tete Montoliu, has taken him to leading jazz clubs and festivals across the Iberian Peninsula and Europe, establishing him as a musician with a strong artistic personality. His style moves between classic jazz, bebop and the bluesier roots of the jazz tradition, with an improvisational ability and expressive power that make him a unique performer. He is joined by two highly regarded musicians from the Catalan jazz scene. Guitarist Kike Angulo, recognised for his versatility and musical sensitivity, has taken part in numerous jazz and modern-music projects. Completing the line-up is drummer Adrià Font, one of the most respected veteran figures in Catalan jazz, with a long stage career and a solid reputation as a leading musician thanks to his elegant style, experience and great accompanying ability.
