The Californian guitarist is one of the key names on the international swing scene and enjoys a well-deserved reputation as a soloist, both leading his small and medium-sized groups and as leader of his own Big Band, for which he is also composer and arranger, and of the group The Campus Five, with whom he is a regular guest at the best international jazz festivals. Specialising in the guitar language popularised by the great Charlie Christian, he is one of the few specialists in this style worldwide, alongside the "block-chord solo" techniques popularised by Alan Reuss and George Van Eps, in which he is recognised as one of the leading specialists on the international scene. This experience has led him to teach at some of the most important guitar gatherings in the world, alongside soloists of the calibre of Howard Alden and Matt Munisteri, among many others.
