'Jujol, by Perejaume' Exhibition

Artist and poet Perejaume (Sant Pol de Mar, 1957) is working with Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya on the first major exhibition devoted to Josep Maria Jujol, following the family's donation of the architect's complete documentary archive to COAC and MNAC. The Museu is organising the exhibition within the framework of the Capitalitat Mundial de l'Arquitectura, which Barcelona will celebrate in 2026. Josep Maria Jujol (Tarragona 1879-Barcelona 1949), to whom MNAC has devoted a dedicated space in its permanent collection since 2014, is one of the most brilliant and original figures in early 20th-century architecture. Architect, artist and craftsperson in equal measure, fascination with his work has continued to grow in recent decades. Alongside works by Jujol from his legacy —comprising more than 10,000 papers, objects and pieces of furniture— and from numerous public and private collections, the exhibition will present works by architects such as Antoni Gaudí and Bruno Taut and artists including Vladimir Tatlin and Henri Matisse.
