This photographic report portrays the everyday life of sewing groups in Barcelona and highlights their social, creative and community dimension. Through testimonies and images, it shows how sewing is much more than a technique: it is a tool for connection, support and resistance. These spaces have become welcoming places where networks, trust and a sense of belonging are created, and where weekly meetings provide learning, conversation and care. For many women, the groups are, as they themselves say, “a refuge” or “a space of respite”. Author: Carme de la Madrid.
