Centre Cívic Matas i Ramis, Horta, Horta-Guinardó
Anna Bullich Estaún, architect, co-founder of Indi Arquitectura and amateur musician Talk: Listening with your eyes Have you ever noticed how strongly space influences emotion? Picture yourself in a fast food restaurant: what rhythm, what sensations does it stir in you? Now change the setting: step into a Gothic church, sit on a pew and breathe deeply. Do you feel the contrast? Architecture, like music, can evoke very different emotions depending on its structure, rhythm or proportions. From the perspective of neuroarchitecture, we will explore how spaces affect us and how we can change our homes to support wellbeing.
Part of the programme: 27th Clàssica a Horta – Guinardó. See the 13 activities in this programme in Barcelona, from October 15 to November 28. All free.
