"Lucia Fumero" Concert

La naissance de la mer is perhaps Lucia Fumero's most personal project. An exploration of memories and the future, and of the links between memory and what lies ahead. These sounds, according to the promotional material for the resulting EP, are “deep explorations of a distillation of intimacy”. Accompanied by Borja Ruiz and Juan R. Berbín, Fumero indeed offers moving music full of tenderness and mystery and, we might venture to say, questions that do not need to be answered. Dedicated to the memory of her mother —the lyrics are in French, her mother tongue— and to her son, in this adventure Fumero invites us to experience reality “with kindness”, as well as to “embrace life with compassion and a sense of slowness”.
