Macy Gray is one of the most recognisable voices in contemporary R&B and soul. Her unmistakable vocal style, funk spirit and ability to create honest, deeply emotional songs have made her a unique artist. She rose to fame in 1999 with her debut album, On How Life Is, certified triple platinum. Since then, she has sold more than 25 million records worldwide and received five Grammy nominations, winning Best Pop Vocal Performance for her iconic song “I Try”. She has also received two BRIT Awards. Throughout her career she has collaborated with artists including Ariana Grande, Bobby Brown and Galactic, and has also developed a notable acting career. In her latest work, including The Reset and the single “I AM” with Big Freedia, Macy Gray continues to combine soul, R&B and pop with messages of identity, resilience and freedom.
