Madama Butterfly Love, hope, fidelity and betrayal intertwine in one of the most moving operas of all time. In early 20th-century Nagasaki, the young Cio-Cio San, known as Butterfly, falls in love with Benjamin Franklin Pinkerton, an American naval officer. For him, their marriage is part of an adventure far from home; for her, it is a lifelong commitment. Butterfly is ready to give up everything for this love and, when Pinkerton returns to the United States, she clings for years to the hope that he will come back one day. Giacomo Puccini's extraordinary music, deeply lyrical, passionate and full of emotion, accompanies a story of waiting, the clash between two worlds and an unshakeable faith in love. A large staged production at the Teatre Apolo in Barcelona, with symphony orchestra, soloists, chorus, corps de ballet, costumes and lighting. The production features more than 70 performers on stage. A story of love and hope. Deeply moving music. One of the great operas of all time, live in Barcelona.
