"Mary Halvorson Canis Major" Concert

For her third appearance at the festival after her sextet Code Girl (2021) and explosive duo with Sylvie Courvoisier (2023), Halvorson returns to Barcelona to present her new project, a quartet she has called Canis Major. “It feels like the beginning of something very special,” she has explained. “The music grows exponentially every time we play together,” she continues. “It had been years since I led a quartet, and I really love the depth, interaction and intensity this band brings to my music.” Mary Halvorson, guitar.
