"Mental Health and Prediction: What Can New Digital Tools Tell Us?" Conference
10 November 2026 · 19:00
Centre Cívic Casa Golferichs, la Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, Eixample
This talk aims to make the concept of mental-health risk and the importance of early detection more accessible. It will explain how digital tools based on predictive models can help health professionals identify people with a higher likelihood of developing disorders such as psychosis or bipolar disorder, as well as associated physical-health problems. In accessible terms, it will cover what these tools are and their advantages and limitations. Finally, it will encourage reflection on their use and on the importance of more preventive, early and person-centred care. Led by Inmaculada Baeza, child psychiatrist and senior consultant at the Servei de Psiquiatria i Psicologia Infantojuvenil of Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and Brisa Solé, research psychologist at IDIBAPS.
Part of the programme: In Search of Health. A la recerca de la salut: 3 activities in Barcelona, from October 6 to December 4. All free.
