The exhibition «Mirades de Gegant, 110 anys dels Gegants de Sant Roc de la Plaça Nova», framed within the «4¼.» project, offers a view of the history of the first Barcelona giants belonging to a neighbourhood organisation: the city's oldest active giants with their original figures and uninterrupted activity. One hundred and ten years, from their creation in the El Arte Cristiano imagery workshop in Olot in 1905 to the present day, when the giants are firmly established as heritage of the Cathedral neighbourhood and the city of Barcelona. A view of the different social, neighbourhood, festive, commercial and urban-planning aspects of the Cathedral neighbourhood over one hundred and ten years, seen through the presence or absence of its giants, Roc and Laieta.
