'Museums of the World: Discovering the Great Masterpieces of Art' Cultural Workshop

Teacher: Judith Soler. A detailed journey through some of the most significant museum institutions on the international scene —Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan, Guggenheim Bilbao, Natural History Museum in London, Galería de las Colecciones Reales in Madrid, Getty Center in Los Angeles and British Museum—. We will study the history and origins of each collection, as well as the building's architecture and the arrangement of its spaces. In each session we will examine two or three representative masterpieces from each museum, analysing their technique and historical context and providing the keys to understanding their importance in art history.
