"Nani Cortés" Concert

21 November 2026 · 20:00

La 2, el Poble-sec, Sants-Montjuïc

Nani Cortés is one of those voices that cannot be explained, only felt. Singing with truth, with pellizco and a way of conveying emotion that hits you directly, unfiltered. Born in Andújar (Jaén), he grew up in one of the most deeply rooted families of southern cante jondo. Brother of Lin Cortés and nephew of the legendary cantaor El Pele, Nani grew up hearing the compás from the inside, in a setting where flamenco is not studied but breathed. From a very young age he showed a natural connection with cante. At just six he was already taking part in private gatherings of the artistic circle and, at eight, he sang before Paco Valdepeñas, Terremoto, El Chino and none other than Camarón de la Isla, who were moved to hear that gifted voice coming from a child. It was already clear the kid was going to make his mark. Over time, Nani Cortés has established himself as one of the most respected voices in today's flamenco, with singing full of soul, roots and his own identity. He has shared the stage and studio with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Enrique Morente, Vicente Amigo, Raimundo Amador, Rosario Flores, María Toledo, Antonio Carmona and Rosalía, among others.
