29 September 2026 – 1 December 2026 · 19:15

Centre Cultural La Casa Elizalde, la Dreta de l'Eixample, Eixample

Teaching staff from the Institut de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia de la UB. A fascinating journey into the world of nanotechnology: a universe invisible to our eyes, yet key to understanding many of today's major scientific and technological transformations. We will discover how science has learned to observe, manufacture and control matter at the nanoscale, from atoms and nanoparticles to new materials, quantum computing, nanomedicine and sustainability applications. The course will combine historical perspective, current research and real examples to understand how nanotechnology is already present in fields as diverse as electronics, energy, health, food, textiles, education and emerging technologies. There will also be space to reflect on its ethical, social and geopolitical challenges.
