'Non-violence, from Tradition to the Contemporary World' Cultural Workshop *NEW*
30 September 2026 – 2 December 2026 · 18:30
Centre Cultural La Casa Elizalde, la Dreta de l'Eixample, Eixample
Teacher: Emanuele Profumi. We propose a philosophical, ethical and political introduction to the thought and practices of non-violence in the contemporary world. Drawing on the reflections of Gandhi, Aldo Capitini and Johan Galtung, we will explore non-violence not only as a rejection of violence, but as an active project of personal and social transformation. We will address civil resistance, peace education, conflict, dialogue and the construction of fairer communities. Through readings, debates and collective exercises, we will discover the practical and everyday dimension of non-violence. An invitation to rethink human and political relationships through the ethics of conflict, cooperation and active peace.
