Palau de la Música Catalana, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, Ciutat Vella

Founded in 1985, Ibercàmera is one of Barcelona's leading classical-music series, supported by a large and loyal group of subscribers who year after year back this civil-society initiative. For its 43rd season (2026-27), Ibercàmera, together with the festival, presents a programme entitled An American in Paris with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, featuring Branford Marsalis as soloist in Jeff Beal's Saxophone Concerto —Beal is also known for composing House of Cards—, commissioned by the New York-based chamber orchestra with which Marsalis has worked closely for almost three decades. The artistic programme is completed by an arrangement of Beethoven's famous Piano Sonata No. 14, Moonlight Sonata, Duke Ellington's Suite for Orchestra —a name closely linked to our festival— and, of course, George Gershwin's An American in Paris. Orpheus Chamber Orchestra of New York. Branford Marsalis, saxophone. Works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Jeff Beal (premiere), Duke Ellington and George Gershwin.

Part of the programme: 59è Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona
