"Pau Casals, música per la pau" Exhibition
21 October 2026 – 10 January 2027 · 09:00
Sala d'Exposicions, la Dreta de l'Eixample, Eixample
Marking the 150th anniversary of his birth, the exhibition is curated by Núria Ballester and organised and co-produced by the Palau Robert, the Fundació Pau Casals and the "la Caixa" Foundation. The exhibition sets out to introduce the figure of Pau Casals, one of the most important musicians of the 20th century. Through his example, it shows how he used music not only as a form of artistic expression but also as a tool to defend essential values such as freedom, democracy and peace. It also invites visitors to reflect on the role of artists in society and on how, even today, they can contribute to defending human rights and building a fairer and more peaceful world.
