'Philosophy of Love' Cultural Workshop *NEW*

Teacher: Maria Paula Sabogal. We will approach love as a personal, cultural and political experience, bringing classical and contemporary thinkers into dialogue. From desire and beauty in Plato to Zygmunt Bauman's liquid love or the agony of eros diagnosed by Byung-Chul Han, we will examine different ways of understanding love and its transformations in the present. Love as practice and responsibility —Erich Fromm—, as a form of care and collective commitment —Bell Hooks—, and also as a space of pain, loss and repair —Eva Illouz—. Through short readings and literary excerpts, we invite you to think about love with greater awareness, less idealisation and an openness to the plurality of experiences.
