Bombino, a Tuareg guitarist and composer born in Niger, conveys the vastness of the Sahara through his music. After spending several years in exile because of political conflicts in his country, he achieved international recognition with Agadez (2011). Since then he has released acclaimed albums such as Nomad, Azel and Deran, the latter nominated for the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 2019, making him the first artist from Niger to receive this nomination.
