On 3 October Catalan popular culture once again fills the area around the Sagrada Família with a day of festivities open to everyone. In the morning it is the turn of the falcons (human figures), the giants and the esbarts (folk dance groups). In the evening the trabucaires (blunderbuss firers) and the correfoc take over, offering a taste of the richness and diversity of the country's festive heritage. All the activities take place outdoors, creating a festive, community atmosphere deeply rooted in Catalan culture. The participating groups are: Falcons de Barcelona, Falcons de Piera, Esbart Gaudí, Esbart Dansaire de Rubí, Esbart Sant Martí, Esbart Egarenc, Gegants Colla Fal·lera, Gegantera Sagrada Família, Gegants Colla l'Ocellaire, Gegants del Clot, Gegants Colla Gegantera de la Verneda – Sant Martí, Gegants de Gràcia, Gegants Colla Gegantera de la Vila de Piera, Gegants de Vilassar de Mar, Gegants Colla Gegantera Fal·lera Gironina, Trabucaires de Catalunya, Diables – Bestialots Espurnats, La Malèfica del Coll.
