'Rationalist Art: The Revolution of Function' Cultural Workshop *NEW*

Teacher: Judith Soler. We propose an exciting journey through the movements, architects and designers who transformed the way art, architecture and everyday objects were understood in the 20th century. From Adolf Loos's rejection of ornament to the Bauhaus revolution, we will discover how Rationalism shaped a new aesthetic based on functionality, simplicity and innovation. We will analyse essential figures such as Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer, Marianne Brandt, Anni Albers, Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Mies van der Rohe, as well as key movements including De Stijl, Italian Rationalism and Russian Constructivism.
