Refuge Exhibition: 'A Right, Not a Privilege'

Casa Orlandai once again takes part in the Justícia Global programme of Districte de Sarrià – Sant Gervasi, which promotes reflection on human rights and solidarity. This December we are hosting two talks and the exhibition “La dona a l'Afganistan dels talibans” by Ponts per la Pau. The series gives visibility to the repression experienced by Afghan women and to struggles defending their education, freedom and dignity. Exhibition in the first-floor lobby of Casa Orlandai. “Refugi: Dret, No Privilegi” is an exhibition seeking to make visible one of the main humanitarian crises of our time: the reality of millions of people forced to leave their homes by wars, persecution, extreme poverty and the effects of climate change. Through painting, the exhibition gives a voice to the creators of the works, people who have lived this reality, and highlights the dignity, memory and hope that persist despite adversity. The exhibition offers an emotional and reflective perspective on the past, present and future of refugees.
