"Roger Mas" Concert

Some voices carry the weight of history and the beauty of the landscape. Roger Mas has become the finest example. With almost thirty years behind him and fourteen records released, the singer-songwriter from Solsona has built an utterly unmistakable poetic and sonic world. His work is not only music: it is literature turned into song, bare emotional force and an unusual interpretative sensitivity that makes him one of the most influential and personal figures in contemporary songwriting. On 22 November at the Teatre l'Aliança del Poblenou we have the privilege of stepping into his world. But he does not come alone: he is surrounded by a first-class band he trusts completely, with Xavier Guitó (piano and keyboards), Míriam Encinas Laffitte (hurdy-gurdy, dilruba, flutes and percussion), Arcadi Marcet (double bass) and Josep «Pinyu» Martí (drums). A unique line-up for a night in which poetry and music merge to create one of those concerts that stay in the memory.
