Santiago Auserón returns to Barcelona on 23 October to present Nerantzi, a project exploring the cultural and musical links between the two shores of the Mediterranean. After a career spanning rock, Cuban son and African-American roots, the Aragonese artist now delves into Greek traditions. Accompanied by guitarist Theodoros Karellas and bouzouki master Vaggelis Tzeretas, Auserón creates a dialogue between singer-songwriter music, Mediterranean balladry and 20th-century Greek rebetiko. The result is a repertoire combining his own compositions with Spanish adaptations of Greek folk songs, performed with respect for tradition and an unmistakable artistic personality. An opportunity to enjoy an intimate live performance in which the artist reinterprets his legacy through a new Mediterranean sound.
