Shingo Ota. Japan | 2025 | 80 min | VOSC. For more than fifty years, Numakage, a suburban public swimming pool in Tokyo, was a meeting place for older people, families and gay cruising communities. Following its demolition despite local opposition, the film traces collective grief through the five stages of Kübler-Ross, questioning a type of loss usually associated with human death. Discussion led by María José Aguirre, graduate in Philosophy and Master's in Global History from UPF.
