THE SONGWRITER is an original journey into the universe of Pink Floyd, a show in which Ramon Escalé, composer, arranger and musical director, turns his influences into stage material. Deeply shaped by the music of Pink Floyd and symphonic rock, Escalé draws on this legacy to create something of his own, personal and contemporary. In the first part, the audience discovers THE SONGWRITER as an original symphonic-rock piece: a suite opening the doors to his inner world, permeated by the music that has accompanied him throughout his life. The result is a journey full of sonic and visual landscapes, climaxes and atmospheres evoking the spirit of 1970s progressive rock, but with a voice of its own that already anticipates the dialogue it will establish, in the second part, with Pink Floyd's most emblematic songs. The proposal continues with reinterpretations of Pink Floyd's most popular tracks, from “Wish You Were Here” to “Another Brick in the Wall”, arranged for a rock line-up and large choir: vocal arrangements that amplify the power of the original material and project it into an enormously forceful dimension.
