Small-format Exhibition "Ocupades: dones palestines, de la Nakba a Gaza avui"

23 November 2026 – 28 November 2026 · 11:00

Centre Cívic Can Felipa, el Poblenou, Sant Martí

Through photography, the exhibition invites visitors on a journey through the history and resistance of Palestinian refugee women from the 1948 Nakba to the present day in Gaza. The title, Ocupades, has a double meaning: women who live under illegal occupation and who, at the same time, are occupied with sustaining life, caring, educating, creating and resisting amid destruction. The exhibition combines image and memory to bring the reality of Palestinian women closer to the public and invite reflection on human rights, global justice and the strength of those who keep collective hope alive despite displacement and violence. Produced by UNRWA Spain as part of the Biblioteques Sense Fronteres project, promoted by l'Agència Catalana de Cooperació al Desenvolupament (ACCD), the exhibition is also part of the project Palestina en Escena II: teatre per la pau i les dones refugiades, funded by l'Ajuntament de Barcelona, and forms part of the programme of the Sant Martí a Escena per Palestina festival, to be held on 28 November at Centre Cívic Can Felipa. Located on the third floor.
