'Soap from Used Oil' Short Workshop *NEW*

21 October 2026 · 17:30

Centre Cívic Casa Groga, Sant Genís dels Agudells, Horta-Guinardó

Making your own laundry soap from used cooking oil is an increasingly popular and beneficial practice, both for personal health and the environment. This type of soap, known as handmade or homemade soap, makes use of a resource that would otherwise be discarded and could be highly polluting, turning it into a useful and environmentally friendly product. We will make laundry soap and take a sample home in a reused container. Materials to bring: • 1/4 litre of used olive oil (strained and free of food residue) • A clean, drained carton or lidded food container for taking home a soap sample • Protective gloves and goggles, if you have them • Apron (optional). 1 session led by Reparat als municipis.
