"Sonido Bestial. El Musical" Concert

Sonido Bestial, el musical is a journey through the different Latin rhythms that fused in New York from the 1940s onwards and created what we now know as salsa. Co-directed by Sebastián Ibarra and Julio Napoles, the almost two-hour show presents two worlds. Set in the 1970s, we see a traditional shoe shop in New York's Latin neighbourhood, run by an immigrant and his daughter. He remains caught in memories of his native Cuba, while she was born in the big city and has everything modern and contemporary ahead of her. There is also a dreamlike world linking memories and fantasies, transporting the characters through different musical passages. This musical journey includes rumba, son, cha-cha-cha, boogaloo, tap dance, mambo and pachanga. It also features musical classics of the era such as Fly Me to the Moon, Feeling Good and Sex Machine, reflecting everything that was happening at the time in the “Big Apple”. Sonido Bestial, el musical is a different kind of proposal. It is a magic box containing history, passion, memory, roots and feeling. As a show, it is a musical with a live orchestra, remarkable choreography and highly committed physical work that leaves no one indifferent.…
