27 November 2026 · 17:30

Biblioteca Montserrat Abelló, les Corts, Les Corts

An activity that aims to introduce children and families to the principles of stop motion animation, one of the pioneering techniques of classic animation, using a wide variety of materials such as paper, card, small objects, clay, etc. Led by Pere Puig. Since 1987 he has worked as an illustrator of fiction books, textbooks, magazine articles and illustrations for graphic designers. Since 2009 he has written some of the books he illustrates. He also ventures into animation in order, as he likes to say, "to see the drawings move". He currently writes and draws the comic series "El petit Silvestre" for Cavall Fort. This workshop is part of the sixth edition of the educational programme Catalunya Abstracta, an initiative by Punto y Raya that seeks to encourage new approaches to the creation and promotion of Abstract Art in Motion. Drawing on different disciplines and artistic perspectives, each workshop results in an abstract short film, to be collected in the Catalunya Abstracta Catalogue. Prior registration is required.

Part of the programme: Lletra petita - Discovery Workshops. See the 21 activities in this programme in Barcelona, from August 18 to November 28. All free.
