Talk "Districte 11. Barcelona i Palestina: Una aliança entre ciutats"

Casa Orlandai once again takes part in the Justícia Global programme of Districte de Sarrià – Sant Gervasi, which promotes reflection on human rights and solidarity. This December we host two talks and the exhibition "La dona a l'Afganistan dels talibans", by Ponts per la Pau. The series highlights the repression experienced by Afghan women and the struggles defending their education, freedom and dignity. Presentation of Districte 11. Ciutats de Palestina, an initiative by Ajuntament de Barcelona to strengthen technical and humanitarian cooperation with Palestinian cities. Inspired by the support model used for Sarajevo, the project promotes actions in areas such as urban planning, health, education, the environment and economic development, while supporting the reconstruction of Gaza and encouraging civil-society participation. It is an international-cooperation programme seeking to contribute to the development and well-being of Palestinian cities while strengthening ties of solidarity between Barcelona and Palestine.
