7 October 2026 · 19:00
Sala d'Actes, Sants, Sants-Montjuïc
In this talk we will approach the worlds of a true explorer of questions, Ursula K. Le Guin, through three of her novels, in which the author explores the limits of encountering otherness in a genuine experiment of the imagination that offers alternative ways of living in society. The novels are The Dispossessed (1974), The Left Hand of Darkness (1969) and The Word for World Is Forest (1972), from her Hainish Cycle, in which beings from completely different cultures and environments must understand one another in order to move forward and survive in a hostile setting. Led by Loredana Volpe, writer and theatre director.
