We will explore how gender and communication barriers shape the lives of deaf women and how LSC reflects social imaginaries, through conversation and practice. Around 25N, we will examine how gender and communication barriers affect the lives of many deaf women. We will explore how languages —including Llengua de Signes Catalana— reflect social imaginaries, gender roles and forms of relationship constructed over time. Through conversation and practice in LSC, we will approach experiences and forms of violence that are often made invisible.
