"The Milk Carton Kids" Concert
22 January 2027 · 20:30
Casino de l'Aliança del Poblenou, el Poblenou, Sant Martí
Can you deafen an audience with a murmur? The Milk Carton Kids have been proving for fifteen years that you can. Since they burst onto the scene in 2011 with their two voices and two acoustic guitars, this Los Angeles duo made up of Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan has become the best-kept (and most acclaimed, with four Grammy nominations) secret of folk and Americana. Their return to Barcelona is one of those reunions that feels like a gift. And it comes at the perfect moment: to present Lost Cause Lover Fool, their seventh studio album, live. A record that is an oasis of calm, a collection of intimate songs recorded without haste that invite us to stop time, turn down the world's decibels and take refuge in the beauty of small details. Live, their show is pure magic and pinpoint precision: the rapport between their voices —which often sound like one— and their very fine sense of humour between songs make their concerts a unique experience. With Vera Sola opening the show, get ready for a night of folk in its purest form, raw emotion and a delicacy that will melt your heart.
Part of the programme: Cruïlla Concerts. See the 21 activities in this programme in Barcelona, from October 28 to April 14.
