'The Neuroscience of Habits' Talk

9 December 2026 · 18:00

Centre Cívic Vil·la Urània, el Putxet i el Farró, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi

We are often aware of patterns in our behaviour that we would like to change, but that does not mean changing them is easy. Why do we sometimes acquire habits that harm us? How are habits formed, and what makes some so difficult to transform? We will explore what neuroscience tells us about these processes. Could understanding how our habits work help us live more consciously and healthily? Led by Simon Serka, neuroscientist and science communicator.

Part of the programme: 'Ciència "In progress"' Series. Cicle 'Ciència ''In progress'': 3 activities in Barcelona, from October 19 to December 9. All free.
