'The Semantics of the Image (1): Technique and Narrative Composition' Workshop

This workshop explores photography as a visual language for conveying ideas, emotions and narratives. We will analyse works by classic and contemporary photographers as well as texts from anthropology and philosophy. We will also look at film scenes to understand how cinema constructs visual atmospheres. Through discussions, practical exercises and outings, we will work on composition as a thinking process and the relationship between aesthetics and narrative. The course aims to broaden each participant's visual and conceptual repertoire. Teacher: Danilo Christidis.
