Centre Cívic Josep Maria Trias i Peitx, la Maternitat i Sant Ramon, Les Corts
Taking Marilyn Monroe / Norma Jeane as its starting point, Monroe ha de morir reflects on sexualisation, pressure on the body and image, the need to be loved and the fragility of mental health. Marilyn ceases to be merely an icon and becomes a reflection of all those who have had to create a persona in order to survive. The piece moves between reality, memory and fiction through a multidisciplinary stage language integrating acting, body, voice, dance, music and sign language. A poetic, vivid and accessible proposal combining emotion, humour and music to address female identity, psychological suffering and the search for an identity beyond the myth. Professional: Àngels López.
