'Thinking about the Present: Philosophies of Today' Workshop
29 September 2026 – 1 December 2026 · 17:00
Centre Cívic Casa Golferichs, la Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, Eixample
This course invites us to consider some of today's major challenges through the lens of contemporary philosophy. Through the works of Walter Benjamin, Miranda Fricker, Bruno Latour and bell hooks, we will explore issues as varied as how we understand history and progress, invisible forms of injustice affecting knowledge and speech, the ecological challenges of climate change beyond apocalyptic discourse, and the transformative role of love in personal and collective life. Each session offers an accessible reading and an open conversation to discover how philosophy can help us interpret the world we inhabit. Teacher: Maria Paula Sabogal.
