10 November 2026 – 1 December 2026 · 10:00
Centre Cívic Vil·la Urània, el Putxet i el Farró, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi
No previous embroidery knowledge is required. This style of embroidery is what Russians call “painting”, mostly worked in red on a white background. It is highly characteristic of north-west Russia and is also found among the Veps and Karelians. It depicts traditional motifs from folk legends of the period, such as the Tree of Life, the allegory of spring, the rejuvenation of nature and the approaching harvest season. Materials for the first day: basic sewing kit (thread, scissors, rulers, pins and marker, embroidery hoop). Participants are advised not to buy them until the workshop is confirmed. Led by Misako Mimoko.
