'Trump and the Conquest of Greenland' Talk

Led by Rokayah Navarro, PhD in Contemporary History from the UB. The United States could annex Greenland by buying it, invading it or imposing strict economic measures. The Arctic territory is attractive to major powers for several reasons: it is the world's largest island, contains valuable natural resources, has a strategic location between North America and the Arctic, and melting ice will open new trade routes. What do Greenlanders think? In this talk we will analyse all of these scenarios and discuss the other actors interested in the region.
