5 November 2026 · 20:00

Auditori Eduard Toldrà, la Dreta de l'Eixample, Eixample

Works by: Max Richter, L. Einaudi, Ó. Arnalds, E. Martínez, J. Jóhannsson, R. Andrés Tomás, W. Byrd and R. Pearsall Performer: E. Martínez Borruel The Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona hosts an unusual programme devoted to contemporary harpsichord repertoire, a historical instrument here in dialogue with current and little-heard musical languages. The performer is E. Martínez Borruel, with a programme of works by Max Richter, Ludovico Einaudi, Ólafur Arnalds, E. Martínez, Jóhann Jóhannsson, R. Andrés Tomás, William Byrd and Robert Pearsall. This musical journey invites audiences to discover new sonorities and expressive perspectives through an instrument traditionally associated with other historical periods. The event highlights the harpsichord's capacity to take on different aesthetics and reinforces the CMMB's commitment to promoting innovative artistic work and less frequently heard repertoire.

Part of the programme: 'Thursday Concert' Series. See the 4 activities in this programme in Barcelona, from October 15 to November 5. All free.
