'Vozes + Marco Mezquida' Concert

Show title: Marco a Manuel: Mezquida plays Falla. Jazz-classical. Barcelona. Another La Mercè encounter with the talent of the musicians who make up Orquestra Simfònica Vozes, this time paying tribute to Manuel de Falla on the 150th anniversary of his birth and the 80th anniversary of his death. The concert features Menorcan pianist, composer and improviser Marco Mezquida as soloist, one of the most distinctive and brilliant performers not only in Catalonia but on the international scene. The anniversary of the composer of El amor brujo, The Three-Cornered Hat and La vida breve gives rise to a programme celebrating and revisiting part of the work of one of the great figures of music in the first half of the 20th century. It is performed by the orchestra's musicians, young members of a social-integration project through music that provides free, high-quality training to children and young people, together with an exceptional pianist whose music brings together jazz, free improvisation, classical music, folk, pop and Mediterranean sounds. This concert is a special production for La Mercè 2026.
