'What Does Music Say?' Cultural Workshop

Teacher: Cristina Álvarez. Music can express emotions, describe landscapes, construct narratives and convey ideas... But how does it do this? Melodies, harmonies, rhythms, textures and silences, as well as culture and context, influence the way we interpret music. We will explore the meaning of music through active listening to works from different periods and styles and learn to identify the elements that give meaning to what we hear.
