Workshop "Animating a Gesture" by Irina Warner

A creative workshop using analogue frame-by-frame experimental animation techniques. In the first phase, we collect found objects from the neighbourhood, materials that resonate. In the room, these objects are animated at two scales: at micro scale, on a multiplane animation table, starting from the "seed" object associated with a choreographic gesture; and at macro scale, through pixilation and animation of the object itself. The result will be an animated map of the neighbourhood where hands, bodies, objects and surfaces meet. Workshop designed and taught by visual artist and filmmaker Irina Warner. Aimed at professionals and non-professionals in choreography and/or audiovisual fields.
