"Xarnegxs" Exhibition

The exhibition Xarnegxs is structured around a body of artistic research focused on memory, identity construction and intergenerational dialogue, developed through sculpture and movement. Xarnego is the starting point of the artist's practice, a term historically used as an insult to delegitimise families who migrated to Catalonia during Francoism, like the artist's own family from La Mancha. Rather than erasing the word, the artist re-signifies it as a driving force for creation and an instrument of poetic and political reclamation.
