"Yago de Robert" Exhibition

Yago de Robert (Santiago de Robert Ferrer Gajigal, Barcelona, 1955–1977) was an artist with a short but intense career. Although he died at the age of twenty-two, during the 1970s he developed a personal pictorial language linked to abstraction, gesture and colour, in search of an ever more essential expression. Through his work, Yago invites us to approach a direct and sensitive kind of painting, in which gesture and colour take on a presence of their own. This exhibition is an opportunity to look at his work again and discover its intensity.
