'Yoga for Pregnant Women' Workshop

29 September 2026 – 1 December 2026 · 16:45

Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, el Clot, Sant Martí

Led by Katia Savant @katiayogabarcelona. This activity aims to support women during the months of pregnancy so that they can experience it mindfully, both physically and emotionally. Emotionally, the aim is to enjoy and work on the connection between mother and child and build confidence and a sense of security in preparation for birth. Working with asanas (postures) relaxes the body and mind, releases tension and helps set worries aside. Asanas relieve common pregnancy discomforts such as sciatica, back pain, fluid retention and pressure around the pubic area, helping restore well-being and strengthen the muscle groups used during labour. Using different types of pranayama (breathing techniques) increases lung capacity and opens the rib cage, allowing easier breathing. Meditation will focus on connecting with body, mind and baby in a unique and special way, to experience this magical and unique moment. Materials: comfortable clothing; bringing a mat and towel is recommended.
