19 October 2026 · 16:15
Centre Cívic Casa Golferichs, la Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, Eixample
What do a suffragist march, a musical evocation of Spain, dances inspired by the Caucasus and a work based on the nostalgia of exile have in common? This talk offers a journey through four scores full of colour, identity and commitment: Ethel Smyth's The March of the Women, Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, Khachaturian's Gayane dances and Salvador Brotons's Glosa de l'emigrant. An opportunity to discover the stories, contexts and listening keys behind a programme as diverse as it is fascinating.
Part of the programme: 'Clàssica amb la Simfònica del Vallès' Series. Cicle 'Clàssica amb la Simfònica del Vallès: 4 activities in Barcelona, from September 17 to December 17. All free.
